I'm pretty sure that a potatoe pitching machine would be pretty cool if not just for novelty. I mean the idea is very sound two spinning felt covered wheels, but I know that it wouldn't be able to achieve the distances that we can even with a simple combustion let alone an advanced. but to not have to fit a spud down the barrel would be awesome.
Yea, that's definitely going to get you at least a tazer.

yeah or just shoot golf balls instead. the first golfball i shot with my new fully advanced setup i couldn't see the golfball leave the barrel or in flight. was crazy

It just sounds like a baseball pitching machine to me... Pretty simple concept really. Put then both at the same speed, the ball goes straight. Make one go faster than the other, and it curves in the direction of the slower one. Tilt on the side, and it can make balls curve upward or downward. Also, the same goes with and angle.
