anyways here it is:

my friend that I made it with holding it

specs:
Chamber: 1.5"x2'
Barrel: 1.5"x3' (fits the little kitty catnip balls perfectly)
Valve: 1" rainbird modded.

I shot the ball straight up at just 40psi to test it and it went out of sight and I lost it forever... Off to buy more soon.

For some reason the valve is leaking like crazy, so I cant get it above 60psi even with my air compressor. Do you have any suggestions for how to fix that? Did I hook up the valve backwards?

edit: the leak is out the barrel, not escaping somewhere else. When I fill the barrel with water and start to pump it up, the water starts bubbling like crazy

nice cannon i like how clean it looks. Perhaps the diaghram is dirty try to take it apart and clean the diaghram i could be wrong though. Gonna get any damage shots up maybe. :twisted:

tennis balls don't do great damage, and none at 60psi, but when I make a marble barrel for it, I will have lots of great damage shots :-)

very nice. it is very clean.

i have the same valve (from what i can see in the picture) and i had the same problem. it is easily solved by taking it apart. seal EVERY possible way for air to escape on the top part and put it back together. use epoxy to seal it up.

I noticed that there is a major leak around the connection from the hose barb to the blowgun, and my pipe tape isn't working, so I'm off to ACE tomorrow after school to get some "pipe thread compound"/"pipe joint sealant".

long hose -> bigger pilot volume -> less efficiency -> worse performance

There is quite a leak between the hose barb and the blowgun. I have tried resealing it with PTFE tape, as well as the gooie pipe thread compound, neither of which worked... any sugestions?

Use a several layers of tape and then apply a healthy cote of the paste compound over it.

Hose clamp, the screw kind.

Ok, i see the hook up know, check it for cracks. Tractor hydrolic lines use the same basic flare nuts, and they crack very easy. Pressurize it, stick it in a bucket of water to see exactly where it's leaking. I gussing you cracket it, to much tape can be bad.

In between the hose barb (which has threads to thread into the blowgun,) and the blowgun.
