I joined the boards today(11-3-07), and give a hearty hello to all of those out there. I am very interested in a barrel sealing piston valve assembly. I just found out about these today, and think it would be absolutely perfect for my particular application. I was wondering if I could pay one of you guys on here(who know waaay more about this stuff than I do) to make me a reliable setup. I will be putting this setup into a real inert LAW rocket launcher, so it doesnt have to be 100% completed. I do have a list of necessary spec. and requirements.. they are:

overall length= 24"
maximum diameter= 2.5"
barrel can be any diameter necessary inside the chamber assembly, but barrel for projectile to be loaded in must be 1.5" I.D. i.e. 1" to 1.5" connector
minimum operating pressure= 85 psi
maximum operating pressure= as much as I can get
lightweight materials
fast acting

If anyone is interested in helping me out and making a little money on the side... please contact me at cobra9_delta@yahoo.com to discuss further details.

Thank you.

You will get more pride in making your own. Piston valves are not hard to make..at all.

I agree that making you own gives alot more pride. For example,I was going to buy a DROZD automatic bb gun, but when I found out about SpudFiles I saved $250 and gained alot of pride and knowledge. :D

And also I'd be glad to help you out, I added you on my msn and yahoo messengers.

Then what materials do you all suggest I use to build this thing to meet the criteria I have listed above?

It looks like your making a coaxial piston valved gun with a 2.5" chamber and 1.5" barrel. Check out my coaxial here to give you an idea. http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/c19os-c ... esult.html
