why would it dry if its still in the bottle? trust me, you will know if its dry, it looks like foam.

I think he just mis read the label cause it says "cures in 24hrs" and thought it would dry up inside the bottle by then.

Well i took off the bottle cap and it looked pretty hard so i touched it and it was. So thats when i started beating it with a hammer... it didn't break

so you stabbed the bottle with a brand new knife? i got a relatively large collection of knives and the first thing i do when i get a new one isn't usually stick it in a bottle of gorilla glue, dry or otherwise

It was laying around and i tried just cutting the plastic to see what was going on, but turns out that it sunk in. Yes I know, not the smartest of moves, but it was a lesson learned. But I just don't get if it hardens like a foam, why is the first half inch hardened like its epoxy?

If you value your knife, you better clean it off with acetone or rubbbing alcohol real quicklike. You can find epoxie nearly anywere that sells ducks tape. I buy it at freakin dollar store. Just look around

Actually as per the instructions you must lightly dampen the surface is because water makes it set up

Honestly, if your cannon is leaking around the solvent welded edges, you should cut off the welded part and start again. Gorilla glue is not strong enough to insure integrity. Neither is epoxy. Epoxy is fine to use if you use it through and through, and not to fix little mistakes. But if you are epoxying a leak in a solvent weld, there is a chance that the joint has no integrity, and that means you are basically putting a small bead of glue on the outside of the fitting to hold the whole joint.

Bad idea; do things properly and start over. You will be glad you did.

yeah moisture must have leaked into the bottle and thats what made it set. Ironic that water makes it dry

Gorilla glue can be messy and foams up when dried, I prefer epoxy putty when their is a leak in my pnuematics. If the epoxy putty doesnt do the jod, then I do what rmich732 said and redo the welding.

P.S. regular liquid epoxy is too messy for me as well
