Does anyone have a good, reliable, online source for electric grill igniters. Since it's winter time everyone has stowed their outdoor stuff.

Not the piezo igniters, the igniters that take a AAA battery and gives a spark for as long as you hold the button

Hrm, I guess you didn't read the post, he specifically said non-piezo ignitors.


You can go to most hardware stores online and place your order, or just try Ebay.

You could try Gas mate!
no not being funny thats thee name of the brand.
I used the AAA ones in my combustion and they go pritty good and they seem to last a bit longer that the one puch one spark jobs.
But thats what i use out here in Austraila.
They cost about $16-18 but its worth the extra dollars. dono where in the world your inquiring from but i sapose they'd ship em?

Stun gun or ignition coil would be better. Look for high voltage projects on google.

In some countrys stun guns are illegal so you ant get your mits on em!

Mate im into simple easy off the shelf and bolt on, in or around!!

Lets not get into what happened when one of me mates said lets use a spark plug and hook it up to the distrubter of his trusty ole suzuki swift!!
Well Spud went that ways arse of cannon went the other and me mate ended up with quite the case of industrial deafness!!
And all of us sitting around laughing our arses off in amusment. then some one said lets do it again!!!!!! :drunken: he he he ha ha ha oops!

That sounds great to me. I'll be sure to look for it. By the way, I checked Lowes, Home Depot and Wal-Mart. It's all put away until spring....maybe Ohio is different.

no no, my system works, at least at normal atm pressure. requires no different tools than for a standard BBQ. you will need heat reducing insulating wires, epoxy, and off course, what makes it particular : a "..........." *leaves it blank just for fun.*

a transformer yes, but it needs a slight modification to work this wy ;)
