I have received 80 bucks for christmas(to most of you thats hardly anything but its a lot to me)And Im just wondering if anybody had any suggestions of what I could do with it.Im thinking of putting it towards an air compressor which I found very cheaply at a shucks auto supply or I could possibly spend it on a dremel but they are expencive for what they are. I really dont know what to do with it.

Compressor, though a dremel is handy.

I got a Riobi rotary kit (dremel) with a whole kit set of about 50 pieces for $100NZD, which is about $75USD. I would imagine you could get it for a bit cheaper in the US.

I wouldn't bother with the cheap $30 ones, just spend the money and get a decent one, not necessarily a dremel (dremel is a brand) as they are the most expensive usually, but a decent brand like Riobi would do.

I have a dremel like tool made by Tool Shop (I think it's a Menards brand) that works perfectly fine for 30 USD. It does have a cord, but it works good enough for me.

Spend it on.......ME DUDE! :P Just kidding. Look at your shop, see what you have and don't have. Then decide on what you will get most use of, or will have the most fun with. The tool world is a big one, there's a lot of pro's and con's. When it comes to tools, you get what you pay for! Good luck.

Dremels are infinitely useful for cutting weird shapes into plastic and metal, it's defenitely worth the investment for a decent one if you do alot of detail work.

Okay well my dad said that he wont let me have a compresser. Why,because its my dads way of limiting the size of the cannons. He doesnt like spud guns at all. So last night I went and bought a dremel and I had a 10 dollar off coupon to lowes and I used that and got it for 60 bucks. Then when I bought it they gave us another 10$ off coupon so I went and bought a sprinkler valve and all the stuff for modding it and I got it all for 9 bucks :D So I got a dremel, a really nice one too and a free sprinkler valve
