or you can incase it in a project box from radioshack or some electronic store :)

Yeah, that project box is going to be the most expensive part of your electronics setup. Especially if you get it from Radio Shack.

I find a cheaper solution to be to just encase the whole thing in some leftover pipe with a couple of "test" endcaps (or normal ones).
