I've never seen one before, but if you post a picture of it, we might be able to help you.

It looks like a standard sprinkler valve, although it may have a guide rod, which would need a little extra modding, but I think you should be fine. (you may want to wait for advice from other people though, just to make sure)

They're actually quite common in NZ. Like <A HREF="http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Ou ... ">this?</a>

I'd say it's modable, just make sure you know what you're doing if it has a guide rod, and deal to the flow control in the usual manner. (There's a tutorial somewhere, i'm sure.)

It will work, but it would've been easier getting one without flow control and (if it has one) guide rod.

when i fill it, it just honks. i have read the sticky and put a ball valve in front. it still honks. i also took out the little white part underneath the diaphram. it still does the same thing.

i fixed the honking. turns out the solenoid seal was not good enough. can i buy a plug or could i just use epoxy? also there was a little residual water in the valve and it makes a spitting sound in the last few seconds of filling.

Mr.C: That's not as easy as you think. It's like me kicking you in the balls and telling you to stop crying.
