McMaster pipe isn't PW is it?
You can buy 4" PW pipe from Lowes and such, and the fittings (PW) are cheaper on Plumbingsupply.com anyway... But you'll have to pay for shipping.
Their fitting are Sch 40 though, aren't they? I guess that's about the same...
I need to rebuild my 2" BST... I was trying to cut off the end cap today, and I accidentally cut it on about a 60 degree angle instead of 90
There goes $5 in PVC parts...
Sorry to ask questions on your thread, but does anyone know how to salvage any parts from a 2" BST tee with only about 1/2" to 1" (varies due to cut on an angle) on the pilot end... If anything I could do a really ghetto job... 1" coupler on sealing pipe, extend it some, then 2" pipe to extend room for piston...

Well McMasters, parts are ASTM, all of them, and some are NSF 61 which still means its pressure rated.
So your telling me that lowes sells 4 inch pressure rated fittings? Really? Well then i gotta check my local one on friday maybe.
Im not sure how to help you, and i understand some of your post.

You can get 4" PW pipe from Lowes, buy most fittings (even that my neighbor, a plumber can buy) above 2" aren't sold... Unless you order online or from a big supplier...
I don't really know how to better describe my problem without a picture...
Piston:
1/4" Hot glue with 1/16" neoprene "packing rubber" face [From Lowes, like $0.98 for a 6x6 sheet]

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=p ... lpage=none
The piston is 20.9 grams total
Broken tee from top:

Broken tee from side:

Really I'm not that mad... The parts were only $5 or so, and the Piston was the most time consuming part...
Edit:
I'm actually not sure if Lowes sells 2"+ PW pipe... Home Depot definitely had it before though...

Ooo i thought you said fittings, ok nvm. i need fittings for my new cannon to be built, (the name of this topic).
i see your problem and well i have never had one like it so i would say buy another tee.

I was planning on cutting off the end plug... Then dremeling\lathing out the leftovers of the end plug... and replacing the end plug with a 2" to 1" threaded bushing....
I'll just throw together another valve... I'm also making another tee 3/4" or 1" for the pilot valve
It's pretty stupid that I'm triggering a 1" output valve with a 1" pilot... But that's life

Yea what you said should work, just try to even out that piece and it will still be a tee, but less pilot volume!!!

yeah Lowes does have 3" and 4" PW pipe but i had to go through all the pipe they had to find one. Just look in the back of the rack (mine was real dirty)Edit:

I actually found Sprinkler.com to be $3.05 more than McMaster without the pipe... I only calculated one 90 degree elbow... I don't know if your using 2 or what... I imagined only one for the chamber to valve connection... With a Tee valve you only need one 90...
I've actually found Plumbingsupply.com to be the cheapest... For even $6 less than McMaster... I didn't include pipe on McMaster, Sprinkler.com, or PlumbingSupply.com
I'd hope your going to use a female and male on the tee, so you can replace the piston if it malfunctions... 3" Male\Female are pretty cheap compared to a ~~$16 4" tee...

Yea im acutally going to use a plug, this one to be specific and make it servicable.
Its pretty thick so i will have to use a long drill bit to get it all the way through, and then i will use a bigger one to so that i can thread my larger fittings into there, like my tee that i may possibly use.
I guess they are a little expensive but i am determined to make a good, powerful cannon. I will definately use all my resources and be very conservative with my money.

This is probably your cheapest setup with ease of build...
That's pretty much the same as my gun, and most other barrel sealing tees... Normally I would use a 4" male and a regular 4" (S x S x T) Tee, but 4" Tee (S x S x T) are like triple the cost if a 4"x3" (S x S x T)

my design is basically the same thing except a little cheaper only on the fact that my chamber will not be detachable, i just dont want leaking through the threads.
i just checked the price and it would be cheaper because i wouldnt have to buy that 4"x3" bushing male threaded, which would add like 8-9 dollars more.
My barrel will be detachable though so thats a good thing. But i still think i really wont have to make the chamber detachable because thats not as much as an important issue as a barrel.

Just be sure not to mess anything up with the chamber... Make it the size you want
A 4" Slip Tee and a 4" x 3" Slip tee are both $14.78... So I'd definitely go with simply a 4" Elbow, a 4" Slip tee, and a small 4" piece of pipe for connection...
Really it's easy to prevent leaks with teflon, but you'll be saving a good $9 in parts for not getting a 4" x 3" bushing and 3" male... Though a 4" x 3" Tee is $13.56, a whopping $1.22 cheaper
My 1.5" Ported (2" piston\chamber, 1" piston) BST is working great [long name
]... The only problem is that I need a new pilot... My small 1" to 1/2" BST was leaking around the end cap and not sealing correctly at the barrel.

frogy, why did you use a 4"x3" tee?
If you used a 4" tee you would not have been sizing down the 4" chamber to 3" and then sizing it up to 4" using that tee.
You could have just used a 4" tee and connect the chamber without all that 3" stuff.
