As some of you guys have seen I have been making some combustion cannons and would like to learn about compressed air cannons. I found BCArms link on here and purchased their small inline kit. I figured it would make a good starter kit for me and then I can expand my knowledge from there. The reason I purchased it was because their prices are pretty damn cheap.
One question I did have and yes I tried to search for it, is can someone brake down for me the modification and how it actually works for a sprinkler valve. I watched the video and how to actually do it and thats easy enough but what is the actual inner workings of one of these valves. I would like to figure out how to eliminate the air gun for a trigger and actually make it some sort of push button trigger.

thanks bcarms.

Sprinkler Valve - SpudFiles Wiki
SpudFiles Wiki wrote:The valve is operated by applying 9 to 24 volts (they are designed for 24V) to the solenoid which opens the valve.
Sprinkler valves are meant to be electronically controlled right out the box. From there you can choose any old switch you want - one which could be a "push button trigger".

Now as you may know, we don't use the solenoid because it restricts performance. If you would like to stick with performance, however keep the "push button trigger", get one of these guys:
