Well, In my recent dismay of having my Beloved Barrett 14mm Break, i decided i wanted to do something different..... SO

I took spare parts, (literally Spare parts) and Constructed This little beast.
I say beast not becuase of power, but the kick is ENORMOUS for such a small gun........

Name: The "MiMg" (or "deathstick" as my dad calls it)
Pressure Chamber Material: 1 Inch Pressure Rated PVC
Barrel: 10 inches of 1/2 inch Type M Copper
Valve Type: Piston
Piston Material: Epoxy/Syringe Head
Pilot/fill Valve: Presta Fill Valve

Below Are some Pics. Vids will be up shortly. No damagepics tho, Sadly GGDT estimates this bugger at about 400 FPS (not good enough for me).

(EDIT) I replaced the Presta fill valve with a Schrader valve because i recently had an instance where i dropped it and i kinda got... a marble.... through.... the.... roof....... and the floor above it....

nice little plinkee you gots there ,but you can do better then 400fps com on crank up the pressure a little since its 1'' pvc

I did try 200 PSI in it just 2 minutes ago and the sound nearly made my ears explode....... And i broke the Pressure Guage on my Pump........

200psi is a bit much but nice mini coax.
you could have made the chamber 1.25in pvc which would get that higher velocity you are talking about and a longer barrel would help the power too.

But, bigger chamber means lower pressure you will be able to take it to more pressure better

Why does it mean you will be able to take it to a lower pressure I would say 1.25 pvc at 180psi max would be alright.
Anyway i doubt he will be trying 200psi anymore cause of the gauge failure.
and more volume is almost as good as more pressure

Yea, but the last sentence is not entirely true , a small chamber a very high pressures perform better then a launcher with a high volume chamber and a lower pressure.

Meh, For just kinda carrying around with my hand pump and a bag of marbles, its great......

im intruiged by the power of this though. I think i might make one out of Steel/Copper and pull it up to 500-600 PSI........... and a proper pistol grip. My goal would be SUPER recoil.

You gave me the idea be more proud of yourself for coming up with it.

BTW i Reccomend this style of piston to EVERYONE. it has not failed me yet, and this piston has been through about 3 different guns and 300 PSI now....
(also, i found that if you dont align the syringe head perfectly, it doesnt seal perfectly, making it a perfect piston sealing face........)

EDIT: I tried a Steel Marble in this thing this morning......... Nothing wakes you up (and puts a smile on your face) like riddiculous recoil..........

I guess i didnt explain it extremely well.

what i did, was put the syringe head in, then just "poke" one little side of it so it doesnt seal 100%. basically, that syringe head isnt entirely straight.

It was more dumb luck though, i intended this piston to be Airtight initially

That's a neat little toy for spare parts VH... Keeping it compact would be my main priority, for convenience.
