Well... I've been doing image edits for a while now.

The only edit picture I can currently find that is uploaded online is this one I put in the Mug Shot thread here:
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... tml#159110

As for pictures I've made, I simply don't have the skill to do that on the computer, so here's a couple of WIP scans of some of my drawings, the second of which you might have seen on Theopia, the first I'm not sure I've ever linked to - so in order of my starting them:

I've improved the hair on this one since this scan - this was just at the stage of laying in the foundations for it.

Like the other one, I've done more work on this one, but I can't be bothered to rescan it and upload it, so you'll need to see the older one.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

I'm a little lucky, I've got a little bit of natural drawing talent, but really, all it takes to get decent at art is practice.

Eventually, this will get the brain towards drawing what it actually sees (using the better right side of the brain), not what it thinks it sees (where the faster, but less artistically able left side of the brain is doing the work).

There's no need to get it perfect each time - just putting pencil to paper for a sketch or two will build experience. Even for a display work, it just needs to get close enough, and it will look fine.

In fact, one of my favourite pieces was a rough sketch in the back of a notepad, and although not perfect, it somehow "works", especially if viewed from a slight distance (a couple of feet further back from the screen than normal works best I think):

I don't draw much these days, but since we're doing artwork, here's a selection from my portfolio when I was in school about 10 years ago.

The sentiment on the T-shirt is coincidental and not directed at dewey-1 or anyone else :P :D
