Ebay doesnt have much better to my experience(Ive searched for them before). The cheapest Ive seen on ebay in the right size and type was about $20 which is threee dollars less than a brand new one.

Nah, up that to at least 1" if you can. That way you can get more shots out of the same size of CO2 tank, as it will allow you to use less pressure in the chamber for the same results.

I agree that the 2" sprinkler is a bit overkill, a 1" is all you need. Make sure you don't have too big a chamber or you'll be eating through CO2.

Check at your local Fastenal store, they have 3/4" QEV's for less than $30 after shipping. A 3/4" Qev would easily outperform a 1" sprinkler valve, and the QEV is metal so that is a huge bonus in my opinion.

I have no idea to tell you the truth. One day I was just sitting in study hall (drawing devious plans of course) when I was called down to the office. Right away he says, "Now Mr.Thorne (like he was talking to another adult, lol) I hear you are "into" (with the fingers) Potato Guns.....am I right? At first i thought I was in trouble so I said, "not really...".

Principal -"Oh, never mind then, we needed somebody to make a T-Shirt launcher for the school and thought maybe you could do it, you can go back to your study now". So I said, "Oh, yeah....sorry, i refer to them as Spudguns, but now that I know what your talking about go on" (yeah, even I was surprized when i came up with that on the spot).

So we got into a big conversation about why he wanted it ect. and the deal was made....and i said I would happily do it. And thats it. Pretty kick ass principal if i do say so myself
