This is my first air cannon, it is very simple, with just a ball valve and is filled by a tire pump. It take about 60 psi and is quite powerful. I put an AA battery about an inch into a tree stump.

But I would also like some specs and if possible a couple close up pics so i can see if you used DWV or not.

hmmm probably should get pressure rated endcaps especially if your going to take it over 60 psi

What velocity do you think you can achieve?
And, it is unwise shooting batteries around. They do break and leak hazardous acid into the environment. You should build a sabot and fire airsoft or something out of it.

i dont think a little MnO2 is going to do any thing to the environment  its just going to end up in a land fill any ways.

Yea, about the batteries, i started using marbles because they're cheaper, easier to get, and fly straighter.

Specs:
I havent't measured exactley, so the lenghts might be a little off

Air Chamber- 11/2 in. PVC (about 4 feet long)
Barrel- 1/2 in. PVC (about 4 feet long)
Ball Valve- 1/2 in PVC

cheaper yes, but i cant find marbles at ever store in the country, of course i hope you only shoot spent batteries, firing new ones would certainly be a waste. nice job. oh fyi BB is the unofficial dwv police, but he has a point. its definitely a good/safe idea to use all pressure rated materials.

Go to Dollar General for marbles-they have a bag of 200 for a dollar.

The cost of the gun was about 15$, but I already had the 1 1/2in pipe

Because you didnt give me close ups I had to take the one pic and zoom it like nuts and I have determined that yes you do have a DWV endcap but it looks like a you have a bell reducer too, its hard to tell because of the fuzzynes when its zoomed so i may be wrong.
But even if I am wrong YOU HAVE DWV   :cussing: :protest: :protest: :violent1: :tongue2:
DWV IS A LIKE A TIME BOMB THAT YOU DONT KNOW WHEN IS GOING TO EXPLODE :bom:
Please dont get pissed at me for using all caps, or the overuse of smilies

I looked and the encap is DWV but the reducing is pressure rated-that and its about an inch thick righte there.

Next time will include closeups.
