Basically, you unscrew the torchhead and replace it with a 1/4 by 1/4 male compression fitting. Feed that into a tee, and attach a fill valve and a valve to your barrel. The only problem i think would be if the propane tank had a one way valve (which would cause major problems, and I think they do). What do you guys think?

Its a good idea, if iam correct the saftey valve is in the head were you light the flame. I think if you unscrew the head, just the head, a small thing will pop out, there is you 1 way thing. I might be wrong. That is a good idea. The big tanks, what is the PSI in 1 of them? You no the one from grills.

The tank probably has pretty poor flow in it's standard configuration anyways... most likely, you'd be best off to just cut the entire valve assembly and weld on a pipe nipple.

Well propane liquifies around 97psi or so read in a previous post,so it should hold 100-110 psi easily.

The problem with welding on that tank is that it will make it weaker. Not that it would be too weak to withstand ~100 PSI, but I really don't want to risk it.
EDIT: BTW, this is not for a regular gun, it's for a semi auto BB gun I have some plans for.
