hey I was trying to decide what size barrel I should use 1 1/2" I'd 2". I want to be able to shoot paintball grenades, water balloons, and nerf footballs. I was thinking 2" but then I saw peon using 1 1/2" barrels for it so I wasn't sure. Thnx for the info.

You gonna have a hard time fitting a Mini Vortex in a 1.5" pipe, however, they fit almost perfectly in a 2" pipe (Sch40).

2" has more power, 1,5" fits also smaller spuds.
If something is too small for 2" you could always fix it with some wadding or duct tape.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!

well I like 2'' better becuase most spuds fit better and most water balloons are to big for 1.5'' pipe.

Think of it this way, the bigger the bore, the bigger the destruction.

If you want to shoot water balloons, even 2" will be small.
A 3" or 4" short pipe would work better.
But you'll need a cardboard disc behind it probably so they won't burst in the barrel.

If it's powered by a 1" sprinkler valve 1.5" will be more powerful.
If you want to build a piston, 2" will be more powerful.

If you're just shooting for fun it's not that important.
They sell short pieces of 3" or 4" at some Home depots.
If you plan on waterplaying/Ballons those would be better IMO 8)

What you can fit in a 1.5" will fit in a 2", though not the other way round ;)
