An easier way to attach pop bottles is with 1/2" PVC, it snuggly fits inside the neck of the bottle, just add some glue or screws and it should be good.

Well I was lucky cause i found the garden hose attachment in my garage, it fit perfectly and with some Teflon tape it was airtight. Have not had any problems with it so far.

Also, i found a new way to fill it, I use another garden hose attachment to stick on the water hose valve, then i use a piece of PVC with a 1/2 threaded male adapter to screw into the setup of the water gun then all i do is slip it into the garden hose attachment on the valve and release the water.
Once people start building spud guns they have two career options, they can be a weapons designer or a plumber. Hard choice isn't it.
