Im building a pvc cannon, using a tank for compressed air with a pressure regulator. how would you connect your regulator to the rest of the cannon? galvanized steel parts or just pvc. Steel obviosly has a higher pressure rating but can one connect steel to a mod sprinkler valve. i guess the question is, how would one go about connecting the regulator with pvc or can i just connect galvanized steel with the valve directly? sorry for stupid questions!

Your cannon will only be as good as the weakest part/piece.
So as long as you're using pressure rated pvc, steel or pvc won't matter.

Several launchers in the showcase combine metal and pvc.

Something like this new addition?

BTW be sure to use teflon tape on the metal threads.

If the pieces have the same threads, you could always thread them together.
