This is my latest throw together from spare parts. It's nothing special but I love the aluminium 8mm ID barrel. I'm able to get to 350+psi with my pump but my mate and myself just put together a fridge compressor pump which should be up and running by tomorrow. The barrel is that firmly in place, that when you flick the side of the gun, everything verberates :D.

I'll get some damage pics of a 500+shot asap aswell as my 350psi pump shots.

Cheers!

Nice Mitch!
Has kind of an antique look, Maybe it's the brass.
Makes me want to make use of all the ball valves I have sitting around.
I'd like a metal piston gun.
Wish you had videos too!!! 8)

Slim and sleek yet very solid. Though a little understated in looks, I have a feeling this thing stings! I like the handle, quick connect placement and valve trigger setup.

Very nice work, especially for a "throw together"!..

Haha thanks alot for that bud. It's gonna be interesting to ark up the fridge compressor and see how much difference there is at that sorta pressure...

All the best mate,

Mitch.

That's pretty slick Mitch! :) (again!)

Waiting on the damage pics.

Note to self: Get one of those "Aussie sheds" that have all the wonderful spare parts. :D

Haha I'll try boys. My piston is something that could be seen as "junk". When I bought my blowgun for a sprinkler valve a few years ago, there was a rubber nozzle that was screwed into it. Funny thing is, is the type of rubber it is, is non-abrasive so it doesn't need lubing/maintainence at at all, and it fits straight into the 1/2 nipple between the ball valve and the tee perfectly. It's fantastic due to the need for no "glued" sealing faces so I'm able to really crank up the pressue with no sealing face blowouts.

I reckon I might need to make the chamber a tad bit bigger so it's got a bit more kick at lower pressures (so there is less of a psi drop) but ehhh....The chamber fills at 10-12psi per pump of my homemade pump so it's very quick.

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

Yes mate, it's pretty much identical to that except it doesn't have the metal base with the metal thread, it's just rubber through and through...even the thread.

nice gun.. but honestly I am more interested in your fridge compressor

I hope it's gonna work fine because lots of people had some problems with them... post some pics of the pump as soon as you build it

I'm big headed enough to assume you have at least taken a look at my "classic" sawed-off before you decided to build this.. :D

More and more people give this design a go, but not all succeed like you have.
This design and the fridge compressor are made for each other.A match made in spudders heaven.
You will like the result!

Love all the brass accents on it, and I think this is one of the best copies yet.
Well, not really a copy since you used a long, small diameter barrel, but that makes it an original.
The trigger looks great and you got the bent handle exactly right.
Amazing some people can;t seem to get it right.
