Very First BBMG

Before making this i had been dabbling in pneumatics for about a month. I made 4 mussel loading cannons and one breech loader. However i am most impressed with this BBMG (inspired by a typical cloud design).

Not only does its ROF induce violent crapping of the pants, its compact in design (Which is a big plus for skirmishes).
I used 1.25" PVC for the ammo chamber with two end caps on either side.
The Vortex Block is simply a slice of 3/4" PVC that i drilled for an air inlet and for the barrel, which is from a broken airsoft gun. The outer barrel is from another airsoft gun. The pistol grip is just a chopped up piece of 3/4" PVC. For the spring i coiled a wire coat hanger around a 1/2" PVC rod. I'd rate its exit velocity at about 260-300 fps with at least 100 rps

Btw, i only used tape in areas where i wanted a superior gripping surface.

All i have now are pictures, but I'm expecting to get a video up by later today.

That looks great! What do you run it with? (Air compressor, regulated CO2, etc.)

As of now I'm using an air compressor at about 120 PSI.

I would like to create some more portable alternatives though.
I might build a backpack tank or just use CO2 in the future.

ROFL!! Same here! My first BBMG was a prototype and it was made with threaded end caps... which were actually sawn off ice tea bottle lids.

But I'm going to improve from that with hop up and removable magazine .

Very well thought up design and apart from the tape it's very clean.
Tape is just not a very "clean"material, that's all.

Ha ha maybe, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm still feeling around in the dark.

http://www.neospud.com's designs have certainly shed some light on what i should be doing however.

I might even try to commission him to build for me one of those Mark III BBMGs

Neospud is the king of bbmg's as far as i'm concerned.
He set the standard.


Although Takerlabs did so before him, the plunger idea was another great step forward in bbmg-design, now making Takerlabs bottomfeeder obsolete.

My deathray mp ( unregged CO2 bbmg) could not have been without Neospuds great work.
I see you also try to achieve his clean style of constuction.
