Where can one find said 4" aluminium couplings? (is it TRSsupplies?)

and as for burst disc ideas... well i can;t see many things working, maybe 2L drinks bottle plastic? (added bonus of the sprite/coke/whatever inside it )

@D_Hall: Indeed. Although if I do eventually use Aluminium Foil, I will need like 200 hundred layers to take up to 100psi and not burst.

I believe D_Hall was referring to actual commercial burst discs. Although I imagine they would be significantly more expensive then something homemade.

You may want to search the Spudtech archives. IIRC DR made a 4" burst disk cannon.
