basically you have a metal chamber, and you have nicrome wire, the nicrome wire heats up and turns the water to steam, then the steam builds up pressure.

i thought of doing something like that before. but i have never really messed with nichrome wire before and i figured it would take a while to build that much pressure by heating the water with the little wires. you would need a stand for it or something to hold it. good concept though.

Then you would have to carry a power source with you as well.

First of your pic is f*cking small...

All posters dont turn down a idea so fast. But do you realise that steam is "better" then CO2, H2, He, N2, and air? I would rather just do with a torch or something. My mom has a steamer for her jewelry business and I was thinking of hooking that up to a cannon...

its a good idea but i just dont think it would produce pressure very fast. im kinda impatient so i would rather just hand pump it.
