Well the amount of air is exactly the same in both, what exactly are you planning to use the tank for? as a Bulk or as a chamber or what, as much detail as possible if you expect as much help as possible :D . I just noticed a gallon is a great amount of volume so what I really do not see what you would need so much air for, and where would you get the air from any how, compressor, hand pump?

Depends on what operating pressure you want for your cannon.

I would recommend 200 psi. More pressure always helps. The amount of air hardly matters if you have a reasonable cannon, running off a tank that big.

If isn't for the chamber on his cannon, it's just a tank to fill cannons with, I think.

IMO get
a 5 gallon tank that holds 200 psi
once you try higher pressures 100 psi seems very little... you might switch to higher pressures one day... what would you do with a 100 psi tank then ??

In this case go as big and as high of a pressure as you can. Each fill will be less pressure once you get down to a certain amount.

Why not just have a 10gallon tank with 200psi?

Search around a bit, I am pretty sure someone here did a test with GGDT. It says that half the volume but twice the pressure is more effective. Try downloading the program and trying yourself.

Edit: Darn, I should read better..... Yeah, go for as big and as high pressure like JRRDW said.
