I have a Question about the Thread above.

I am making one of these right now and I cant figure out how to get rid of that little rim on the top/inside of the cans. Do you know what im talking about?

I have the Bottom can done already with the old fashion Can opener, but I cant figure out the other three cans.

Any Ideas on how to get rid of that lip at the top?

Thanks ahead of time :)

Leave the rim in place, the ammo fit is so poor that it doesn't really matter.

If you want, you can run a screwdriver shaft around the inside lip of the can to smash the cut edge down a bit.

You could have posted your question in that thread but don't worry about it. You could use a hack saw, bench grinder, tin snips.

You want to keep the rim at the bottom for some structural integrity. Just butt the top rim to the bottom rim of the next can and wrap it with some good tape....I used gaffer's tape on mine. Duct tape will work as well.

You could just cut off the top of the can.

I just happen to have a new can opener by Pampered Chef Wal-Mart brand which cuts the rim on the outside and leaves a nice clean cut. Look here....

I will post pics of mine soon

If you got any 3mm suppliers near your house they have tape specifically designed to hold metal pieces together and not warp under heat. It forms a pretty solid bond haha.

They carry various types as well; I just figured that might be the best.

Oh I forgot. What should I use as a Propellent?

I used to do little 2 Liter Bottle Rockets and I put Nail Polish Remover inside and lit that and it flew off in the air.

Any Ideas for the Tin-Can Cannon?
