What to do with 6 feet of 2 inch steel pipe

Alright I found a peice of 6' x 2" diamter steel pipe it has no lables but I am wonddering could it be used as a chamber for high pressure or a chamber for a hybrid and it would have to be welded because there are no threads

You can use it as a hybrid chamber, just not the full 6' of it. Cut a smaller length of it and have it threaded at your local hardware store. You can then use standard pipe fittings to close it off...welding shouldn't be necessary that way.

alright thanks. didnt know a hard ware store would thread pipe but thats kool or i could sell it the cheapest steel pipe on mcmaster was $77 for 6 feet. I am not sure how I could cut it good enough for it to be threaded but I dnt think it matters. And it might be stainless steel I dont know it was laying on the ground on this trail kinda shiny but kinda not.

You should be able to cut it with a hack saw, just use a fresh blade and take your time with it and cut it straight. It's probably not stainless. Rather it sounds like zinc coated conduit pipe from your description.

probably just zinc coated. is it just a chain link fence post? i think they are about that big

Yeah I think it is a chain link fence post is that good or bad because I hope i can Use it for a Hybrid.

i have never messed with hybrids and dont know what pressures they reach but those posts have thick walls so i think it would be ok. but get someones opinion who knows about hybrids

I found something similar too, 6m of 1.5 ID steel and 6m of 4cm ID steel pipe

I would get the end threaded and use it as a barrel for a hybrid.

For a real world hybrid, 10x or so or less, it will be fine.
