Built a pneumatic cannon? Then post it here! This section is for completed, finished cannons that you have built. Please include pictures and information.
Cool I guess, get some pics up.

Cool gun, but that isn't electrical tape holding the extension on, and gorilla glue on the joints is it?

Nice work

Its duct tape holding the extension, and regular pvc cement on the joints.

Did you use PVC primer on the joints also?

Is that a cleanout end cap on the chamber as well? Cleanout end caps aren't pressure rated and can even fail at combustion cannon pressures (80-60PSI and below).

Yes, of course. Only the extension is unorthodox.
It is a cleanout cap, but I usually operate it at 40 psi.

A man was killed when his cleanout cap blew off and hit him in the chest using a 'spray and pray' combustion IIRC. He died of a heart attack or something. Spray and Pray's only generate about 40PSI. I think even less then that.

Funny I've never seen PVC cemet cure to that color, with or without primer. How do you account for the way-odd yellow color?

Crowley: Thanks for the info.
Starman: I think the cement was orange in the first place.

Fair enough about the cleanout cap, but wouldn't it be facing away from him most the time?

Or even the fact that it could blow at any time when you have it pressurized when you move it into position...meaning expensive objects might be in the firing line. The fact that it will fail at sometime would be enough for me to take it off.

Really...do you have the maker and model of the cement handy by any chance?

I'm more curious than anything.
