Hello I am building a barrel sealing piston cannon, and i was wondering if a SCH. 40 PVC Slip Spigot Bushing has a ridge in it to stop the pipe from sliding all the way through it or not? Because when i built my last barrel sealing piston valve i modified a 2"X1.5" reducer bushing and i took the ridge out with a dremel, and when i tested my piston cannon it started to leak were i modifed the fitting. So how can i not modify a fitting that seals against the barrel on a barrel sealing piston cannon?

Any help is appreciated.

Most people do that when building a barrel sealer. You just have to take your time, and use plenty of primer/cement.
