hello,
I plan to make a pellet sniper but I need some help with the magazine/boltaction. my idea is to make a Tbolt action system(sort of small replica of BTB's). I think it's better to have the magazine on the barrel side of the T to prevent jamming due to the air inlet pipe.
So it has to be suitable for pellets and I haven't got acces to advanced machinery. I want to use a 1/4" female T piece. the bolt in a piece of pipe from several cm long and a 1/4" male thread on one end.
thanks in advance
Bolt action system

1: you need a place to put in the pellet, either a magazine or a trough to put them in.
2: I am not sure a T bolt system would be the best idea for a pellet sniper, since finding a PVC t is out of the question, and the small metal ones are a little too rough for that kind of use.
3: I think you're better off with just an inline bolt that is just a barrel with a sliding cover, then find some way to put a bolt handle on that, I will draw my idea in paint, so I'll post that in a few minutes.

wel I plan using a brass T and a steel piece of pipe since there is no pvc in the gun at al. the advantage of a Tbolt is that you can use a rod as bolt and make the handle on VERY strong and you have no worries about projectiles being blocked.
the T will be like the one from my hammer valve. http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/hammer- ... 17843.html
hope nobody minds me using their diagrams:D
and I don't have any bought airguns at all

I think spudnicks diagram is a good idea.
It solves the problem of your last pic.

see adding a handle on here is difficult and not that strong

yes in some sort it does but it has more dead volume and is difficult to make a magazine on that
I think I know a way to do it but I need to work it out
thanx for the help btw

The problem I see with your idea, is that you would need to put some form of guiding rod in to get it through the t, because almost all of the steel ones I have seen look like the diagram attached below on the inside. For the ideas you are proposing, you would need to custom build the magazine anyways, unless you have square pipe fittings
and the T would need to be the perfect size for the pellets, if you put a pellet through one of those (see below) T's, you would never get a decent feed. Forcing air through them is one thing, but keeping a direction sensitive soft metal pellet going through right would be a massive challenge.
And for my diagram above, if you want to add a magazine to it, then put the outer sleeve on the inside, and instead of the trough, put a magazine tube. simple enough.

I don't get thisAnd for my diagram above, if you want to add a magazine to it, then put the outer sleeve on the inside, and instead of the trough, put a magazine tube. simple enough
I can guide the rod inside a pipe fitting which can be screwed into the T, this gives a strong guide and it's very easy
tomorrow I will buy some stuff to make a start.
thnx for your help I really like it

In my T-bolt, the barrel goes all the way through the T.
So no problem there...

I think he drilled one big hole in the barrel pipe, where the T junction is.
