Seriously it's probably due to geography, on the east coast of USA things are strange.
For example it's rude to even compliment females here because they think you're going to do something to them and get scared (no matter how you look).

I got more sucked to be single, (careful of gurlz) stories:
For example I was living in a party house with two bachelor friends,
They were always drinking and doing crazy stuff.
Sometimes I'd get home to notice nude girls walking around and stuff.
One time another friend was on our phone talking dirty to a girl only to find her BF was listening in...he started talking all confrontationally (on our phone).
I went out for beers and came back to notice a guy beating the crap out of the front door with a baseball bat.(BAMBOOMBANG!!!)

I had to approach incase he'd hit someone I'd be a witness...so we were talking with him (3or 4 to 1) he was all upset about his girl.
My buddy acted dumb and said "well which one is she" ..."Oh her, well she's a slut who sleeps with everyone anyway..."
we stalled him knowing the cops would show up any minute...more time went by...he decided to leave...peeled out passed the cop car...cop came up...
people said," there he went go get him!"...cop said, "I got to fill out a report first"
My one roomate (a fat white guy who liked rap) said he "answered a knock on door, looked up, stranger had a baseball bat drawn back so he said, "whatever man" and closed the door and locked it while the (unknown bat guy) guy smashed the front all up.
