i am going to finish my piston cannon tonight and the last thing i have to do is glue on the chamber. my piston valve is built into a two inch T with 1.5 inch porting and i am torn between 20 inches and 30 inches of three inch pipe for my chamber. in your experience what do you think. by the way i will be using a track pump to pump it up.

Depends how long your barrel is, if it's 5' or under, 20" will be enough. Probably can do with even less.

BTW, goodluck sealing a 2" piston with a track pump and a 3" chamber. If your piston isn't o-ringed, in my experience you'll have great difficulty.

i think i will go 20 inches. as for sealing if i place my hand over the chamber side of the valve and give it a pump it seals right away. but we will see, if it doesn't seal right away i have an idea that doesn't involve o rings that will work for sure.

That's without a 3"x20" chamber mind you.

it has no trouble sealing. it actually seals in less than a stroke of the track pump. i will post it in the cannon section later maybe even a video.

yea my 2" piston had a 4ft. 3" chamber to account for a large barrel, just say that it was a failure unless i was using co2
