Okay, I want to create a pneumatic mashmallow gun <a href="http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=125&">( click this link if you don't know what a marshmallow gun is )</a> Kind of like the PPK, something with a pump on it. With a low PSI of course, i only want them to shoot maybe 50 feet. I've been searching this site for pages to help me better understand pneumatic launchers with no luck. Any links would be appreciated.
P.S. - I know I'm a newb at this. You don't have to tell me.
P.P.S - Thanx in advance for the links
NOTE FROM PIMPMANN22- Your not special, hence dont write your title in all caps!
Awwww, but my mommy says I'm special. JK my bad, I wont do it again
Ok im a newb, have pity on me.
So you want this gun that ur gonna make to be powered by compressed air. And sence your new and all i suggest you go with a sprinkler valve or ball valve might be better for somthin like this.
Edit: I would draw a model up for you to show u what i mean but one of my brothers deleted MS. paint off of my comp. And also there is no need to have ur subject in all caps.

Thanx, One more question: How exactly does the tank work? How could I hook a pump up to it?

dont you think a sprinkler valve is overkill, he said low preessure.
I also said a ball valve might be better for somthing like this.
I redownloaded paint and heres some things i drew up for you. Personally for what your making it for id go with the second one. Since u want a lower pressure instead of the quick connect just put a schrader valve on. And mount a hand held bike pump to the chamber or somthing. And since its low pressure u dont have to put the safety popoff's on your's but i think you should just for a little added safety. I didnt say what size pipe it is on the drawing cause i figured u could make the size whatever you want so hope this helps have fun and welcome to spudfiles.

what exactly is a safety pop-off
Its a fitting that is made where once ur tank reachs a certain pressure the popoff will open and drain alot of air out so the tank dont blow up i think most are rated at 125 psi. there on most compressors.
This is the safety popoff valve http://www.spudtech.com/detail.asp?id=45
This is a schrader you would hook a bike pump or air chuck to this http://www.spudtech.com/detail.asp?id=44

Ok, here's the blueprints for it. Feel free to make suggestions.
<img src="http://www.geocities.com/doogle08/schematic.PNG">
red = ball valve | blue = schrader | green = area not pressurized | gray = gauge
1/2" pvc for the barrel / stock and 1.5" pvc for the tank.
I'm thinking about blocking off the stock ( green ) with cement. It might balance out the tank.
I also decided not to put a pump on the side, as I realized i have an electric one that would be much easier.
ALSO: what are some good ways of loading the marshmallows?
Thank you for all the advice.

Why should we even pity you for being new to the "sport"??
You have a lot of things to discover left, a lot of firsts!!
And you don't know yet how much money this stuff will cost you over time haha
It gets addicting!

yea once you start making stuff like this you just have to keep making more, each time they seem to get just a little bit more powerful each time
As far as hooking up a gauge and a schrader would this work?
