huge polish cannon

me and a buddy where talking and would it be possible to build a polish cannon out of 55 gallon drums and shoot a exersice ball out of it or would the 55 gallon drums be way too thin

Wow, still a fail... Dude, I recommend starting off with something small like a regular 'ol spray and pray. 1 foot x 3" chamber and a 3 foot by 2" barrel.

I have (unfortunately) seen sealed steel drums rupture violently due only to volatile solvents inside expanding as a result of solar heat, bowing out and tearing at the seams. They're tough, but internal surfaces are large and there's a lot of force imposed on them even with low pressure.

Not saying this won't work, but caution should be exercised

ya cuz everyonr can carry those lol no im pretty sure that you might get a shot out of it but i think it is extremely dangerous. today my buddy said if ill help him make it he will supply the barrels and shoot it but i dont think he will be able to get 2 more barrels but if he does ill try to take pictures and post them because that would be really cool looking
