looking at your avatar, why not try and base it off a flint-lock pistol. Nothen sexier than a flint-lock blunderbuss... coincidentally there is also nothing as “badass” as one
Well, I hate to nit-pick, but that gun I have there is a Philadelphia Deringer (The gun used by John Wilkes Booth to Assassinate President Lincoln). It is actually a percussion cap pistol, which is a step up from a flintlock (and a step down from a cartridge gun).
why hasn't anybody made a double barrel coax yet....????
I actually started on one once, It was working, but then the epoxy broke and I never finnished it. Anyway, back on topic, sadly winter break came and went without me doing much work on anything for some reason. Anyway, I am still wanting to make a small pistol at some time or another. I am interested in making a gun that works on the principle of JSR's Preloaded Pneumatic Cartridge concept. It would be about 8-9 inches long and probobly .177 or .25 cal. Anyway, I've gotta think about this some more. Any Ideas? and thanks for your responses.

Do you mean using cartridges or a single shot device?

If you combine the cartridge with your hammer for piloting you'll have a mean little pistol ;)

I certainly want to give cartridges a go some time in the near future, the problem is that making a cartridge small enough to fit in a pistol fram means it won't be too powerful, probably not enough to cycle a blowback mechanism unless the calibre is ridiculously tiny.

Yeah, This would be for a single shot gun. That said, the cartridge would be removed for charging/reloading, in which case another could be put in for faster reload, yeah, It would be piloted by a schrader probobly, but I'm afraid the hammer will destroy the schrader pin after a few shots though.

Not necessarily but I understand your concern. Still, doesn't have to be a hammer, could be a simple level like this:

Yeah, That was kinda what I was planning on doing, some sort of metal, one-piece lever/trigger combo like shown in the picture. Yeah, I am planning on making the chamber about a 2"x3/8" brass nipple and the barrel would be .177 cal. (4.5mm).

Yep, I shure did, I do like the idea of using o-rings in the place of tefflon tape. The only thing is, I would like to make it breech loading, and that's very difficult to do on coaxials (As I'm sure you know). What I want is something where you remove the chamber, pump it up, pop a round into the breech end of the barrel and put the chamber back in and fire, and you can't do that with a coaxial. Nice build though, it looks pretty clean!
