I dont think this can be called a semi-automatic shotgun, as it is loaded by the top of the barrel.

Consider a proper wadding for this because i dont think just putting bb's in a 1/2 barrel is very efficient ...

Looks like a nice co-ax

I knew somebody would comment on the semi auto part...

And wadding is rather difficult to get down the barrel of a co ax without a breech load. I was just having fun with some bb's. :D

Technically semi-auto means one shot per pull of the trigger so it would need some kind of magazine or hopper, but it's a good start nonetheless.

if you don't want to use wadding, why not just make paper shells? They're quick, easy, cheap , and you'll see a huge increase in power by using them. Wading isn't so tough, with a ram rod it takes barely two seconds, but i guess its just a matter of preference.

I just can't seem to find a ramrod long and thin enough for my 1/2" barrel. I'll try some paper sheels though. Thanks :D

What's the point of making a true semi if you can't brag about it :P :D

Seriously though, it would be relatively simple to make a tee magazine like the one I made for this project, if you have access to solid 1/2" ammunition like marbles or bearings that will give you proper semi-auto and much better damage on target.

How can you make a tee on a co-axial?

D'oh, I saw the sprinkler and forgot this was a co-ax. Nevermind then, it's not that simple to make a magazine unless you're willing to lengthen the barrel and accept a lot of dead space, otherwise there's a lot of hacking and gluing involved.

making a tee mag on a coax is doable with consistent spherical ammo like bearings or marbles, Here's a quick sketch of the idea i made in sketchup:

Fair enough, but it's something you have to think about in the planning stage, adding it as an afterthought on a co-axial you've already made is a bit of headache.

I've given a lot of thought into a mag for it... for airsoft bb's I had the idea of gluing a speed loader into the chamber and the end of it into the barrel so all I have to do is push the button then fire... and so on.

Or you could just go the one step further and just use the actual airsoft MAGAZINE.... I swear, it's a wonder none of you have tried that yet, almost half of my airsoft related scribbles have some kind of storebought airsoft mag glued in there. They already make them, why reinvent the wheel?

Ok and please explain how that is a practical idea.
