Pool noodle in a 3'' porting coaxial valve was a terrible bumper.

It gets stuck in the sprinkler valve... which is 1 in EVERY single shot.

A good bumper could be made from a coil or garden hose with slits cut in it to allow it to "Crush" easier. It should resemble a garden hose compression spring. lol

Hubb said he cracked the tee with only aquarium hose for his bumper with this piston, I had a piston kinda like this and use a big spring for the bumper, it helped it seal and made a great bumper

If the hose does not work well enough, I saw a gun somewhere that use half of a nerf ball glued at the back of the piston, this worked good enough on a 3 inch piston

I'm just leaving the foam thing in and i'll test it t 30 psi... you thing that will hold up at 30? and jor2daje how's you get that lol. I've seen it before in random cannon. the hose was gone when i went to get it but i have some spare in the back yard, I used it to reinforce the bumper. i stuck a little piece down to the middle of my bumper to open the hole up a little more. but i'll keep my eye out for things

Thats a really nice valve. Can't wait to see it punch some holes in some plywood. i really like how you put the fill valves on the sprinkler valve.

I used the rubber corner piece on a cart, I had one that I took apart for my tricycle.

A quick note on PVC fatigue and survival. Just because it passes a few shots without breaking does not by any means it is passing as safe. I learned this with my Mouse Musket cannon. Over time it always would break the piston, even at low pressure. The piston was made from a 1 inch PVC pipe cap. I upgraded to HDPE, but the cannon developed another crack in the chamber, so it was retired.

I don't think the piston will be the parts that breaks, but the back threaded bushing, which is a rare unreplaceable fitting for me.'
