if i added a stronger spring to a sprinkiler valve it would have a faster reset time so i might be able to get more than 1 shot off?

Highly doubt it, sprinklers already have low flow and with a spring, the power would be dissapointing.
Edit, you would also need to enlarge the equilization hole, which would make it harder to pilot.

k cause mines already modded with a QEV. i see how a larger spring would actually make it open slower and decrease the flow

I have succesfully made ( brass) sprinkler valves go multishot.

They close fast enough to get lots of shots out of a medium tank.
Even without a spring.

The trick is to have a fast closing pilot.
If you trigger it with a blowgun your reaction is too slow to close the pilot in time, so all the air gets dumped...

If you take off the trigger and tap the stem with a light hammer, you will get repeating action.

Now you say you use a QEV as a secondary pilot. This QEV has to be modded to accept chamberside filling so it will close as well.

The rest is up to valve sizes and chamber volume. If valve size increases so must your chamber volume.
Also don;t overdo the QEV size.
I've just come back from my workshop where I just started on my demo-cannon.
It has a 2" brass piston valve ( almost a sprinkler, except for the piston in stead of a diapragm) and I can pilot it with a 1/4" QEv and blowgun.

Another trick to get multishots is to put a dumpchamber on the blowgun, with a bleedvalve.
This way the air coming out of the primary pilotvalve ( blowgun) is contained. This will result in a short shot.
Bleed the dumpchamber before the next shot.

This way you can keep the good old blowgun and your slow reaction and have the air itself work for you.

In my case, with the brass 2", I could use a 3/8 ballvalve and a greasegun hose as my dumpchamber. In other words: a very small container.
This gave me two shots out of a small chamber at only 2 bar.
Bigger dumpchamber means " deeper" shots.
You can finetune the dumpchamber to your needs so you get 100% effective shots, while keeping the loss of gas to an absolute minimum.
Pure efficiency.

or simply use 'A' port on a 3 way as the dump chamber... :D

A smaller pilot valve could achieve that.

it might but you would loose power, ilso sorry im using a bolwgun as my pilot for the sprinkler valve (thought a QEV was the same as a blowgun)

thanks for the suggestions BTB il try the dump chamber on my Hornet launcher
