Piston sealing face deforming

After maybe 50 shots with this piston it turned out like this:

The edges are kinked and causes it to not seat right every 5 shots or so.
Has this happened to anybody else and how can I prevent it? I will buy a new gasket soon but I don't want this to happen again.

I have had that problem, try a slightly larger washer and a thicker sealing face

Ok that is the thickest they had but I'll try two.

go to lowes and at the end of the sinks they have a box of packaging rubber which comes in different thicknesses

nahh lowes is far from me, maybe ace has some sheet rubber.

ask if they have packaging rubber, if they say no, still look around, they told me they didnt then I found a box of it

At ace? If not I can just use 2 gaskets.

alright I'll check, it seals great but it deforms.

If its still sealing does it matter if its deformed?

yes because every few shots it doesnt seat right, the kinked parts of the gasket get caught on the seat and the air just rushes out when I fill it.

what about epoxying it down, them bolting it too, thta way it wont blow out the barrel or deform

Well it never blew out the barrel, I might try epoxying it when i get the new one.
