My BV air shotgun needs help

I made a pneumatic shotgun that uses a .5" ball valve and galv. pipe that has a seem. I also need some way to fill it to its max potential. I was thinking about a co2 tire filler (but with a 12" chamber made of .75" pipe the co2 will fill it to 800psi+), a shock pump, or a regulated oxygen tank (which i am already in the process of making.) but i would like to have something to fill it with sooner. If i did use the tire filler could it be possible to lower the pressure that will be put in the chamber?

Any suggestions on how i could spring load the valve would be nice too.

I use pipes just like that and from what I've heard about them in the store they are good up to 1000+psi... but dont take it from me, I'm not sure bout this info. Would be nice if someone else can confirm this.
BV should have a marking on them PN##. The number after PN indicates the operating pressure. I wouldnt trust a bv without it...

If you're gonna spring load it then the valve handle should move towards you. Just put a U shaped sear, a spring and a few screws to make the spring move straight. You'll need a very long trigger rod tho. I would guess 40 cm

Do you want the spring to be outside or inside? If you want it inside you'll need to get rid of those hose clamps cause they will be getting in the way.

yes but did yours have a total build time of only a couple hours? What makes it ugly? the unfinished stock? just wondering. The picture makes it look ugly in my mind.

I don't think it looks bad at all. I will be awsome with a spring loaded trigger too.

I think it looks alright once you finish the stock.
Ball valve might leak at 800PSI, but nothing should fail I wouldn't think.

My 1/4 ball valve says 600 psi but you can always push it, so for a 1/2 I would stay under 700 psi

I found out what the BV is rated to. 600psi. it said it on the handle in a very small font.

Ah this is where ball valves truly shine!!! I am really looking forward to seeing what sort power you get over a longer range,say 60yds? Oh and I really like you're stock. All you really need to do is square off the bottom of the handle and then sand and varnish it and you'd have a very nice looking gun. At least you've used hose clamps and not zip ties. Good luck with the trigger setup.
