co2 regulators help

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

howdy im new to the air cannon world and im trying to build a over under cannon iv got everything done but a regulator and i was wondering if a pressure regulator from an aircompressor would work or would it blow either the reg or the cannon up

Hooking up a compressor regulator to a CO<sub>2</sub> supply would likely exceed its input specifications (800 psi+ when it's usually used at 150 psi tops), I don't think it would actually blow up but it probably wouldn't work very well after that...

k thx i didnt think it would now i have a nother question i put the reregulator on my cannon filled it to 100 psi it worked great no leaks when i fired it it launched the cannon about 30 feet from where i had it laying what happened the coupling i had glued to the pvc bloo off some how so i was woundering is the a special glue to use to hold the pvc together at such a high pressure

Are you using PVC cement and primer? If you are using it correctly, your joints should be stronger than the pipe.
Life's too short to mark off the items on your wish list...

thats a good question i cant remember i what to say it was primed but i dont know my neighbor is the one who glued it for me

I'm getting the impression you ought to do a bit more research before physically playing air pressure and pneumatic launchers...
