I have concerns that the increase of aluminium layer for a burst disc might not be a linear function of the pressure applied to it. (i.e.: one layer stands up to 14 psi, but ten layers don't even rupture at 800 psi. Gotta find a proper material.

Can you find disposable roasting trays at your supermarket? They're kind of like this except the ones at my supermarket are bigger, have completely flat trays (no raised markings) and have smaller 'walls'.

At a 10x mix, my 3/4" union (I believe it is 2.5cm wide), required 4 of these disks. So I think at least a single disk would burst at a 10x mix in your union. They're also cheap too. I think the trays I have at my supermarket give me about 80 burst disks and only cost $1.50NZD.

Oh yeah! i didn't think of that! I'll see if they sell them. Btw, i tested the fibre joints, and they seem to hold the load quite well!!

10x blank shot, huge flame! (even with no barrel or projectile, i felt a litle recoil in the hand. When shooting a 2 gram screw, recoil is very noticeable, and when shooting a 150 grains saboted .44 lead ball, i can't hold it. (very light compared to a .44 gun, and HGDT gives 278 m/s)
Oh and i beat my record = 727 m/s with a .24g BB ^^

that is fast! long barrels and big chambers may be noisy and cumbersome, but there certainly are benefits
