another semi-auto idea!?
iv always wanted to make a semi and am always trying to think of an idea that i like for when i have the money to make it, this is another one of my ideas that iv had, would use regulated co2 and would be 5mm bore, i think the drawings should be self explanatory if not ask away, what do you guys think?
why make it if it dosent shoot?

must admit it is a bit, can you see it functioning very well IF i did some day decide to make it?jackssmirkingrevenge wrote: Too complicated![]()
personally i dont know if i see that working very smoothly or without any leaks, but i could be wrong, wouldnt be the first timejackssmirkingrevenge wrote: I like the sliding block idea though

It would probably work, but I don't see the point of having a sliding block and a blow forward bolt, either will suffice on its own.
In this case you're right, one of the reasons I never made anything similar.personally i dont know if i see that working very smoothly or without any leaks, but i could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time

how could i have it so that i can have a horizontal mag with just the blow forward bolt?jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:It would probably work, but I don't see the point of having a sliding block and a blow forward bolt, either will suffice on its own.

detent?ilovefire wrote:how would you stop the bbs falling out the barrel and double feeds and and that stuff...

now your just making me sound stupid
what i actually want to know is which sort of detent would i use that wouldnt f**k with or get f**ked by the blow forward bolt? at the sam time as allowing the blot to travel far enough forwards that it would seal the mag, O-ring detent is probably out of the question because i dont tend to make things very serviceable and i dont want anything that would add to much bulk or strange looking things to the gun (i like aesthetics just as much as i like power and consistency) thats also why im not sure about a ball detent because then i would have to have this thing sticking out the top or side of the gun and i dont really like that, not really sure what other detents i could use unless i just use a strong magnet which would then limit it to steel bbs, you get my drift?

well if you make the bolt just big enough to hit a oring and use the same oring as your detent and it would seal air from the mag and stop rolling out issue

Agreed with -_- above.
On a slightly different note, I always wanted to combine the blow-forward bolt with the "valveless" design for reliable (one shot per trigger pull) semi-auto, in my head it looks something like this:

if i do in fact make this i am planing on getting a co2 bottle a regging it down to 600psi or more so not have the mag sealed will be a problem, i think i might go for the horizontal mag and blow forward bolt idea and between now and when i do have the money to make it ill start looking for things i can use that will take the pressure and still be serviceable, if i can find a threaded fitting small enough i might go for the O-ring detent, i would still like to hear any other suggestions, and also has anyone made this type of blow forward blot in a similar caliber on this site before?
why make it if it dosent shoot?
iv got another question, would using the blow forward bolt result in full-auto? as cool as that would be i dont think i could afford to have something blow through the the ammo that quickly, any ideas on this plus could i expect much power from a blow forward bolt? thanks

Did it cycle like mad or not work at all?
That's the effect I had here, slightly different design but same concept.
Beautifully made by the way
