best way to bond two PVC pipes in parallel?

I need to create a receiver for a BBMG - basically glue one piece of PVC below another- similar to the way boltsniper does his receivers-- see picture. I gather that he simply cuts out a section of the pipe and then puts it up against the other pipe, but whats the best way to bond them?

Epoxy, the strongest way would be to run a bolt through both but since its a bbmg, Im not sure if that part will have air going through it.

I believe he uses a low viscosity super glue, as well as screws for serviceability. Epoxy would work, as well as super glue with an appropriate accelerant spray to prevent it from running. I suppose you could also try solvent welding the parts. Just go about the normal procedure and then clamp the pieces together.

Actually, I've thought a lot about this for a future project (though in aluminum).

Get a piece of material (for a BBMG wood would be fine).

Use two drill bits, one for each OD of pipe you're using (or just one size if the pipes are the same size), and drill lengthwise through your material, with the holes meeting in the center. Use a saw to hack your material into a spacer. Then, use clamps or a strong adhesive to bond your two pipes together.

I think epoxy would be the best way. Solvent welding such a small surface area won't work.

It's mainly, as Gun Freak said, to increase the bonding area in the connection.

Results due this afternoon. This will be single shot but if I could get the hybrid cartridges small enough, it would be interesting to make a Welrod based manually loaded pistol, it would certainly be more compact, probably more powerful and definitely quieter than a straight blowback semi-auto.

Indeed it would be.. I need to start work on my BBMG... going to attempt to make it look like an actual SMG...after that, I'll start on a hybrid cartridge

I've done this before as well. Mask and pour epoxy as JSR said. It never hurts to score the shit out of the area so the epoxy has more to grab on to.
