Ok so i made a replica lower reciever for an M4 out of wood for a project involving a muzzle loading marble gun but i quickly scrapped that plan and...

If you use a full 360 degree vortex hole, put shrouds on. If not, then leave them off; shrouds just jam up partial hole vortex blocks.
