Second incarnation of first cannon!

Hey all! I've been lurking around here for a while now, but this is my first time chiming in. Back in Feb. I made my first cannon. It was a spray n pray, but it worked fantastic when we got the mix right. It does have a few DWV components, but no problems thus far. Recently I upgraded it to metered propane with a mixing fan and dual spark gaps, using formulas and tips I found on here. I'm happy to report that it now fires first click every time, with a lot of power. We were shooting jumbo russets durn near out of sight, and punching holes in 1/2" plywood from about 25 yards with ease. Next up is a 1 1/4" barrel with some D batteries! Anxious to see what kind of power this thing really has with some slugs! Here are a few photos, with more to come. Thanks to all for the info I found on this great site. Enjoy!

This is a great combustion for a 'Off the shelf' launcher.
Seems really clean and spotless to be honest...
and great to see someone take the normal spray and pray into a metered combustion.

And also, GREAT to see someone keeping the combustion showcase alive.

That is a really nice, clean advanced combustion. It is no longer a combustion, but an advanced combustion with the addition of the fan, dual spark and metered propane. As you have seen, the power increase is really quite the huge surprise.
I learned that for myself after coming to this site for the first time. I had a propane cannon with no fan and a single spark. They said it would be better with a fan and multiple sparks. I suspected they may have been exaggerating a bit and BOY WAS I WRONG.

Wow that is a really nice cannon. You did a excellent job on it. You can tell you really took your time and did your research. That thing is super clean! Congrats on a job well done. Now you need to make a pneumatic!!

Chances are he's getting much better performance from this cannon than your 1.5" porting pneumatic piston valved cannon (or anyone elses for that matter). Make a hybrid next

Actually, I'm almost positive his would out perform yours or similar piston valved guns. Not only does an advanced combustion produce up to 120psi, but this one has a larger chamber, heated gasses, a longer barrel, and no valve or flow restrictions.

EDIT, forgot to comment on how awesome this gun is! So clean and cool, it's inspiring me to build one myself!

Wow, thanks for all the kind responses! Sorry no damage pics Daniel, they were definitely on my to do list. We were down in the woods at my buddies cabin for the initial firing of this baby, and the dang camera batteries shot craps no sooner than I snapped these pics. We're going back in a few weeks, I will be sure to have extras on hand so we can get some damage documented. I will definitely post them when I do. Moonbogg, yeah I was quite impressed with the added power this time around. I also made a longer barrel for this one, which probably helped even further. The combination of all these things made for much more pop! But in addition to that, the ability to just consistently know it will fire every time with one click made it so much more fun to pass around amongst my buddies to try it out. Not one guy shot it and didn't grin from ear to ear and laugh his butt off! What a hoot! And Mr. Crowley and Matty, I am already in the research stages of my next project. This stuff is just waaaay too much fun to not keep playing with! As far as cost, I'd have to add it all up really, but I would estimate probably around $250-$300 between both versions and the 3 barrels I have (2", 1-1/2", 1-1/4"). I definitely could have done it cheaper, but I'm kind of a stickler for quality and aesthetics. Well, I call it being a stickler, my wife calls it OCD!
