what's this valve rated for?and does it fit standard copper and brass fittings? its all measured in metric so im not really sure... im really interested in it now because its so much cleaner then a big bulky sprinkler valve

you need a another valve in the Pilot side to trigger it just like any piston/diaphragm valve.

umm i looked up a unit converter, it only handles 11.35 psi... and is there like a page on how these work? i guess i'm not really understanding how this thing is functioning in the first place.

Must be a typo, that sort of valve should handle at least 300 psi comfortably without failure.

I'm thinking I should buy a couple to try them out for myself.

sounds good, and i looked at the picture again and noticed the hole on top for piloting it, that makes more sense lol so is do these valves have a high flow rate then a sprinkler about the same diameter? and do the close up real fast for say, semi auto fire off a high pressure air tank (propane tank)?

oh and you can get them in bigger diameter the last number on the name denotes a size, this one has a smaller input/output hole then the other, im not sure which is which but you get the idea

Here's a 3/4" QEV for $8 shipped! Great find JSR - this guy has a stock pile of relatively cheap pneumatic DCV stuff!

Are you not at all worried about the 11PSI rating on the valve..?

There are other QEV on eBay, but to get one with a useable rating you have to pay more. They don't come in that awesome black package either...

@AircannonSweeden: You could make a semi auto gun with a sodastream tank. Using a QEV and a 3 way valve, you can have the sodastream bottle empty into another chamber on one stroke, and then pilot the QEV on the other. Been done before, but I think it's pretty cool...

A plastic soda bottle will happily take 100 psi without coming close to failing, I find it very hard to believe that an all metal QEV will fail above 11 psi

what is the the thread size on an australian soda stream tank? is it 3/8"
