Does anybody have helpful information about the weight of any given projectile affecting the shot. Particularly kick. And if heavier objects being launched affect the life of the barrel. (2" schedule 80)

The heavier the round, the more kick. If the round is too light it slows down fast after leaving the barrel. If it is too heavy it doesn't get up to speed for any distance. If you can get a heavier round up to speed it will maintain it's velocity longer due to inertia. 50 grams is no big deal but 150 starts to become noticeable in a handheld.

You might take a look at http://www.spudfiles.com/spud_wiki/inde ... ommon_Ammo

Nothing about recoil but a fair amount of info on mass etc.
