Is there any way to make the ugly metal blowguns look better, like maybe a 3d printed 2 piece shell?

Hide it in a cheap airsoft gun body, like this ;)

I like making PVC handles personally. Just chop the hook off the blowgun, cut a slot down a short length of pipe, and slide the blowgun in. Hose clamp the top and you're set.

Blowguns aren't all that ugly! If you can work with wood or plastic you can do anything with it.

I 3d printed a foregrip so I was like might as well try to 3d print a proper blowgun handle

Depending on how accessible things are for you, low temperature melting plastic can be a good material to shape things from.

Often sold as Polymorph it's original name is Polycaprolactone, can be softened with hot water, hot air gun, microwave into a soft treacle like state which sticks viciously to plastics and anything porous but more importantly can be moulded before it cools down again and hardens into something resembling nylon.

Heh.

I'd like to but I'm not in a great position for covert cannoneering. Wasn't much opportunity when I made it and even less now.

Still have ideas for creative medium cannons but unless I move to the country with a small attached wood it's really not worth it.

Currently in a terrace with another terrace in front of me and a third behind me. In the middle of a very urban area. The boom of compressed air from a barrel isn't something I'd trust any of them to be understanding about.

It seems you are aware that this can be avoided ;)

I love wood grips and stocks, mainly making riflestocks. You can dress up blowguns rather nicely.
My safari rifle stock and my pistolgrip rifle stock! :D
