If you arrange say 4 blades in the shape of a cross or square, you'll burst a larger area and dump the air faster, which should lead to better performance.

I was bored today and decided to mess around more on this project.
I finally sucked it up and filled the bottle 40% of the way with water.
Then finally it happened...it flew a whopping 3 feet! :lol:

I might have to go back to this project and test different amounts of water and pressure, maybe even shorten the barrel length. Either way, it definitely seems like less of a failure now :P
