Also check that you are actually getting a spark inside the chamber. Just because the piezo will zap you doesn't mean it is jumping the spark gap....

When you put the screws through the pvc does it matter what kind of screws you use and how do you know how big of a gap to put between the screws for...

I've tried a bbq liter with no luck. So now I'm trying this Power-Mite Prod that I got from my father.

This thing will not arc. Its kinda old...

Nope. Even with it opened up and the bare wires very close it won't spark.

What if I removed some resistors? lol... try taking apart one of those...
