I have a decade old memory of somebody selling a 4" quick exhaust valve (or similar) that was rated to something like 400 psi. A quick google isn't turning up anything but my google fu has always sucked. I know this is beyond the normal stuff, but if there's a group of folks on the internet who will have the knowledge of who makes some random high speed valve and where to find it, it's you folks.

This ring a bell for anyone?

For personal or "work" related?

There are some 4" sprinkler type valves that come up, but nothing had more than 150psi rating.

For personal and on a budget...large toolies piston?

If you need approvals and have tax dollars to spend, you could drop Emerson a line and ask about piloted relief valves. Anderson Greenwood has something that might be made to work...not sure how quick it'll open as supplied, but it's basically a big ass qev.

Goyen brand larger diameter valves used here, not sure if they go up to 4" though.

try using the name pressure relief valve, over exhaust valve
im in the same boat, trying to track down info on an supposedly adjustable pressure relief valve.
between 150 and 800 psi.
boiler or steam pressure relief valves might work too, some even have a triggering device on them too.
Im trying for a quick reset duel pnuenomatic and or hybrid cannon

Found a "Cla-Val" pressure reducing valve during random Craigslist browsing. Was curious on what it was. Searched the manufacturer and they look almost identical In design to the ubiquitous plastic sprinkler valves. Specs showed up to 36" and 400 psi with higher pressure rating available. All the porting and pilots are external, I'm curious if that sort of valve might be easily converted for air cannon use?

Perhaps pneumatic direcional valve for IG541 fire suppression system can do it,as it can handle 2,500psi at 3' or 750 psi at 6'
